Tailored to seating in public areas, the Cotone Slim series in the Cassina Pro Collection now adds an upholstered bench with the same aesthetic signature as the namesake settee and armchair. The original design, which had its roots in furnishings for the majestic exhibition spaces of the Bourse de Commerce [Commodities Exchange] in Paris, is extremely versatile, making it a good fit for public spaces, like museums. The design is defined by the bold contrast between the minimalist lines of the structure ‒ made of anodised aluminium or painted matte graphite colour ‒ and the soft, comfortable polyurethane foam and polyester batting. Available upholstered in leather or fabric, in a number of colours to satisfy the demands of contract projects, the Cotone Slim Bench can be equipped with integrated USB sockets (type A and C).

I CONTEMPORANEI

Ronan Bouroullec (born 1971) and Erwan Bouroullec (born 1976) have been working together for more than twenty years now. Their collaboration is a permanent dialogue nourished by their distinct personalities and a shared notion of diligence with the intention to reach more balance and fineness. Their work has covered many fields ranging from the design of small objects as jewellery to spatial arrangements and architecture, from craftsmanship to industrial scale, from drawings to videos and photography.
