FLUIDITY AND CONTINUITY

The Constantin design low table is a true work of art, included in the Ultramobile collection designed by Studio Simon as a tribute to the work of artist Constantin Brancusi.

A work of art that is currently part of the Ultramobile collection, this piece was designed by Studio Simon as an homage to the work of Constantin Brancusi. Derived from the Romanian artist’s universe, the two elements are industrially manufactured, and work perfectly together, conferring an elegant feeling of movement and continuity. This side table features a waxed oak base, while the thin round top is made of brass.

Dino Gavina, (1922-2007), began his career in the 40's working on stage sets, a great passion of his. He was convinced that design needed to be both modern and richly poetic, and soon began to gain support from many of the country's leading designers and architects: "fathers of the country", as he jokingly refers to them, including Carlo Scarpa, Enzo Mari, Marcel Breuer, to name but a few. His work in those years was an important starting point for what then came to be known as Italian Style, and has since come to stand for top quality, giving Italian design the prestigious reputation that it still enjoys today throughout the whole world.

Ideal as a modern side table for a sofa or in a lounge, the piece has a solid wood base in oak, with waxed finish, while the circular top is made of brass sheet.
